Professor David Gardner of the University of Hong Kong visits our college and gives lectures and seminars in the Department of English. He is invited to our college to present a keynote speech and engage in academic exchange with our faculty. (2015.12.16–2015.12.18)

Professor David Gardner is the associate director of the Centre for Applied English Studies at the University of Hong Kong. He has taught EFL and ESP at secondary and tertiary levels in France, Saudi Arabia, England and now in Hong Kong. He has created and taught a range of EAP and ESP courses and managed a self-access center. His areas of research interest are: self-access language learning, computer-assisted learning and plagiarism. He co-authored Establishing Self-Access: From Theory to Practice (1999) and edited Fostering Autonomy in Language Learning (2011), among others.
