Join us at The 28th Meeting of the Southeast Asian Linguistics Society & World English Forum, May 17~19

為提升本校東南亞語言與文化之認識，促使國內相關學者與研究和國際接軌，英文系獲權舉辦「第28屆東南亞語言學會年會」(The 28^th Meeting of the Southeast Asian Linguistics Society)，研討會時間在民國107年5月17日至5月19日(星期四~星期六) 8:30~17:30，並於5月19日(星期六)10:00~3:30加辦「世界英語論壇」(World Englishes Forum)，地點在文藻外語大學至善樓國璽會議廳(12~16樓)。本研討會預計應邀前來發表論文之國際學者人數100人，所有與會人數約300人，敬邀全國有興趣之教師、學者和學生參加，共襄盛舉。研討會和論壇相關訊息，請見官方網頁：https://sealsxxviii.wixsite.com/seals28 。

The Dept. of English at Wenzao is hosting “The 28^th Meeting of the Southeast Asian Linguistics Society” (SEALS 28), aiming to enhance our understanding of Southeast Asian languages and cultures, and further the global development and dialogues of relevant researchers and scholarship in Taiwan. The main conference will take place on May 17-19 (Thu.-Sat.), 8:30am-5:30pm, at Wenzao, Kaohsiung, Building Zhishan Hall, F12~16. A symposium titled “World Englishes Forum” is held in collaboration on May 19 (Sat), 10:00am-3:30pm. The number of invited international speakers and presenters is estimated to be 100, and the number of the total participants is likely to exceed 300. You’re cordially invited to join us at the conference. Non-registered Participants (including faculty, scholars, and students in Taiwan) are free of charge. Regarding attendance fee, except Wenzao people who are eligible for free participation in both events, students and faculty from a different university can enjoy free participation in “World Englishes Forum;” but those who want to join us at SEALS 28 shall register here https://sealsxxviii.wixsite.com/seals28 . The registration fee is US$115 for faculty and US$60 for student.
