College of International Culture, Education, and Foreign Affairs
The College aims at cultivating professionals proficient in English and second foreign language(s) and equipped with holistic development and global vision. The College also provides foreign language majors with tracks in business management, international affairs, and MICE industry programs to ensure their employability.

Department of English & the Graduate Program
The courses provided by the Department of English are taught exclusively in English. Alternative and creative teaching along with extracurricular activities greatly increase the effectiveness of English learning. The courses are designed to respond to the current demands of the graduates and provide them with a world view. Students are professionally trained in business, finance, tourism, communication, translation, interpretation, cross-cultural studies and English teaching. Equipped with high English proficiency, professional competence, humanistic cultivation and a global view, the students will have the edge over their competitors.

Department of Translation and Interpreting & the Graduate Program
The Department enhances practical translation skills with classroom instruction as the foundation, and facilitates teaching in e-learning and translation practice courses; translation/interpreting techniques are delivered to students through the use of authentic materials and simulation of the real world of conference interpretation. To increase students’ practical experiences and to achieve the goal of combining theory with practice, we encourage students to work as interns in the Szuyuan Translation Service and other companies, or apply for internship opportunities to work as receptionists or translators/interpreters at international events and conferences.
The Graduate Institute of Multilingual Translation and Interpreting strives to train highly qualified translators and interpreters, international conference multilingual professionals, language database expert editors, and translation/interpreting project managers. Equipped with multilingual proficiency, translation/interpreting skills and cross-disciplinary knowledge, our graduate students are expected to become experienced translators and interpreters, as well as communication specialists/experts employed by the language services industry.

Department of International Affairs & the Graduate Program
The curriculum of the International Affairs Department may well present the features of “holistic education”, “achieving internationalization through foreign languages” and “expertise of international affairs” so that prepare the students to be the professionals of the international politics and economics with inter-disciplinary background, plural culture appreciation and excellent command of foreign languages.

Due to globalization and global governance, the traditional role of nation states in developing substantial relationships among nations is becoming subdued. In their stead, trade, cultural exchange, and other activities by all levels of public and private actors are becoming increasingly important. The main goal of this degree program is to train professionals who can manage these important tasks for the public and private sectors. The program offers theories and practicums on issues of international affairs in an immersive English-language environment. This curriculum prepares students to become elites of international affairs who have a global perspective and humanitarian concerns.

Department of Foreign Language Instruction
Based on whole-person education, we emphasize the acquisition of professional knowledge, teaching skills, and the formation of sound work ethics to cultivate professional personnel in foreign language teaching who, in consequence, will have a well-balanced personality, strong ethical values, and a positive and healthy attitude toward educating young people. Students will also acquire a solid academic foundation to enable them to pave the way for better foreign language teaching quality in Taiwan.

Center for English Language Teaching
Founded in the 2013 academic year, the Center is in charge of organizing, planning and executing the University’s General English program and teaching, as well as centralizing and consolidating English teaching resources to maintain Wenzao’s prestige in English pedagogy. Center for Teacher Education
The Teacher Training Center was established in August, 2001, and changed into the Center for Teacher Education in December, 2003. Our center provides a special track for university students interested in elementary education. We have 6 full-time instructors on our faculty, all with doctoral degrees and rich teaching experience. Fully equipped with instructional media facilities in an ideal environment for teaching and learning, we carry out our mission to prepare students as elementary school teachers who will be professionally trained in education and able to master a foreign language. Most of the graduate alumni are engaged in teaching in public or private elementary schools or in remedial schooling all over the country having already made a remarkable contribution to education.
